Remember how the Spade and Archer logo disappeared from the window of the Dashiell Hammett Suite in the Hotel Union Square awhile back?
For the info of anyone interested, it’s back (maybe with a slightly different design for the lettering — looks a bit different to me). I happened to notice when I was doing the tour by appointment for the Private Eye convention on Saturday October 27.
If you happen to be on the southeast corner of Ellis and Powell, look across to the northeast corner and the two-toned building. Run your eyes up to the fifth floor, leftmost row of windows.
Should be right there, unless it mysteriously disappears meanwhile.
